Founded by a group of undergraduate students, ARTspeaks launches a series of creative exhibitions of children’s artworks to raise public awareness and empower those underprivileged children.
ARTspeaks was founded in November, 2014. We collect art works from underprivileged children all over the world, with China being our major focus. Our exhibitions demonstrate art collection in various creative forms. We provide children with stationeries and drawing tools, with the hope to encourage them to enjoy art creation and gain personal development.
We also aim to raise the awareness of the public by presenting these children’s living conditions. We believe that charity is not to instigate public’s sympathy, but to call for empathy; not to delineate the children’s difficulties, but to present their real lives. We sincerely encourage every child, the poor, the autistic, the left-behind and the children of migrated workers to grow up happily and to pursue their aspiration.
Art speaks. We strive to let it be heard.
